It’s All About She

OR allaboutshe

It’s All About She in this article – literally. All About She is the name of a ‘disturbing’ musical trio from London, who are currently signed to British rap mogul, Tinie Tempah’s record label, Disturbing London. Together, James, Jon and Vanya concoct a fusion of electronic, soul and garage music on their tracks. What true Brit doesn’t love a bit of electronic/soul/garage? Maybe it’s not the Queen’s fancy, but it sure is what UK’s dance audience wants in their earbuds, after all their hit single ‘Higher (Free)’ reached number 5 in the charts!

My first official taste of AAS was when i finally got my hands on their debut E.P, Go Slow. A perfect poolside playlist is what i’d call it! Opening with a smooth and catchy ‘Remedy’, All About She bring you right back to the days of garage music. The next track is my favourite on the extended play and perhaps my favourite song of last summer, ‘I Can’t Wait’ featuring the first ever unsigned act to appear on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, Jacob Banks. With a tropical sounding intro, Vanya and Jacob’s voices collide in harmony with this feel-good anthem! 4 more bangers follow, including a collaboration with one of my top underground rappers, Gita and ‘Happiness’, another beautiful composition. This E.P is probably the reason i haven’t given up on the U.K garage movement, so why not download it? It is free, although i’m sure many artists would pay a lot of money for a studio result like this.

The group have done a fair bit of travelling since their E.P release, performing at festivals such as Wireless and T in the Park. They also managed to headline their own show at Birthdays in London!

All About She are going to be about in 2015, so don’t miss a second and check them out!
