5 Music Videos to watch before 2015!

Wow, it’s the big ’15 in less than a week, and you know what that means? Two-thousand, fifteen-hundred times better music videos…joke – I’m still expecting to see some tacky Cher-Llloyd-esque videos and spectacular Gaga films! However, there have been a few good videos this year that i think you guys should watch before New Years day, and it’s probably forgotten!

1) Let It Be – Labrinth
This video demonstrates the concept of a narrative in the coolest way possible; cameras throwing themselves around a warehouse to show multiple Labrinth’s crusing in cars, slumping on a couch or recording in a booth.

2) Attracting Flies – AlunaGeorge
This is probably one of my favourite videos of all time. Because it includes all your favourite childhood fairy-tales with a modern twist. And it’s directed by one of my favourite British M.V Directors, Emil Nava. I promise i won’t say ‘favourite’ again…

3) XXXO – M.I.A
She is the queen of UK music videos, so do NOT tell me that any of her videos are not artistic. Who else can make tacky gifs look good? No one.

4) Problem – Natalia Kills
unnamed-1 copy
This video is so appealing to me, not because of it’s high budget and amazing fashion, but because of it’s purity. This video was based on the life Kills lived when she was young, dumb and basically homeless – and she still looks good.

5) High Street (ft. Skepta) – Blood Orange
Anyone been to Muswell Hill in London? Well Blood Orange only went and shot a sick video there! High Street is a stand out track from Blood Orange’s ‘Cupid Deluxe’ and the video walks hand in hand with it. These guys are singing/rapping in front of buses to East Finchley and Acton Town for goodness sake!
